The Holy Spirit

Scripture:
Behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words to you. Proverbs 1:23

Saints, have you ever thought about what the Holy Spirit means to each of us? Actually, how much thought do you even give to the Holy Spirit?

When Jesus dwelt among, he told us many things about the word of God. Often times, he told these stories in the form of parables, or stories that man could relate to. But they were still directions from the word of God on how we as Christians were to live.

Jesus said that he would not always be here on earth, but that our Father would send a comforter, the Holy Spirit, that he may abide with us forever. Saints of God, the Holy Spirit is many things to the body of Christ. Not only does it comfort us in our time of need, it speaks the word of God to our spirit. It protects us from the evil one. It intercedes on our behalf. It is strength, power, deliverance, salvation, peace and so much more.

When you think that you are all alone in any situation remember, the Holy Spirit is right there with you. You can talk to him and if you listen, he will speak to you too.

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, live in my life. May we look for You everywhere and may I open myself to You completely. Speak to my heart, Holy Spirit. Guide and protect us as we walk our walk of faith. Magnify Your presence within our lives so that we make look to You for guidance. We thank You Father. We give thanks to You for the power that is in the Holy Spirit. Breathe on us anew this day. Let Your drops of salvation rain down upon the saints of God. Wash away our sins and transgressions and may our thoughts and actions always reflect Your teachings. We love You Lord. We give thanks this and everyday. We submit our prayers, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

We Are a Peculiar People

Scripture:
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light 1 Peter 2:9

Saints,
Recently I began work on a paper for school. Essentially, I asked the question, do we as Christians often use phrases or terms that could be confusing to someone who's not in the word. For example, when we say we are highly favored, we automatically know that we are talking about being highly favored by God.

As I gave this topic a little more thought, I realized it's not only how we speak that makes us seem different but being a Christian is often reflected in the things that we do and say. Another example that came to mind was a few years ago, some of my Christians sisters and I (hello ladies, you know who you are) had gone out to celebrate my birthday. All of us were having a good time laughing and dancing to some old school music. Then the tone of the music changed and a song came on that was offensive to women.

I immediately left the dance floor and realized that each of those ladies had also done the same thing. We laughed about it because none of us had planned or talked about it, but we all felt the same way. We could not as Christian women condone the message in that music.

We as Christians often do or say things that the rest of the world just can't understand. We read the bible or Christian books because we want to. We listen to gospel music or a recorded sermon in the middle of the week. We praise God even when things around us may not be going right.

The NIV bible interprets the above scripture this way: But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Lord, thank You. Thank for Father for a new day. For keeping and watching over us once again last night. Father, this morning has brought confusion and strife into someone’s life. I ask that You would speak to the storms in their live and command the winds of anger and discord to be still. Lord, someone's plans have fallen apart and I ask that You would put them back together again. Someone needs to know that You can still work it out if they let You. Now Lord, as we prepare for another day, we ask that Your hedge of protection be placed securely around us and all of our loved ones until we come together once again, and pray on one accord. Bless Your name Lord. As we uplift and exalt the name of Jesus, Amen.

You Can Run but You Can't Hide

Scripture:
But Jonah ran away from the LORD and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the LORD. Then the LORD sent a great wind on the sea, and such a violent storm arose that the ship threatened to break up. Jonah 1: 3-4 (New International Version)

Recently, I asked a friend, “Why am I compelled to do these messages?” Needless to say, my friend couldn’t answer my question but rather said, “I don’t know, but I thank God that you do.”

You see saints, often times it is very painful to write about some of the things that I do. I sometimes feel that it is a great weight that I carry. No matter how much I try to deviate from writing these messages, I often find myself sitting here with a new story to tell. I realize that I have been given a mission by God and as much as may want to rebel, God will not allow it.

So it is with each and every one of us. God has given each of us a mission. It is our responsibility to carry out that mission whether we want to or not. When we try to walk along a path that is not of God, He will allow things to happen to in our lives that will force us back on the right path. You may be in the wrong relationship, pursuing the wrong job, or maybe you have just ignored the word of God and are following the world instead of following Him.

Maybe just like Jonah, you have been given a directive by God but because you don’t want to do it, you try to run away from it. Maybe you are doing things in your life that God finds unacceptable. Or maybe, you have decided that you just don’t want to listen to what God is trying to tell you.

Saints of God, I just want to let you know, that if there is something that God wants you to do, He will wear you down until you do it. If you are not listening to his voice, I urge you to pay close attention because God can and will get your attention, by any means necessary.

Be blessed

Prayer:
Father God, I come before the throne of grace seeking Your face and Your favor. Lord, often times I hear Your voice and tremble. I tremble because I know that I am not doing your will but rather following my own. Forgive me Lord. I pray that You would forgive me for my mistakes of yesterday and I pray that You would find favor with me once again. Lord, I come standing in the gap for my family and friends. So many need so much. I ask that You would comfort those who are heartbroken, assure those who are at a lost, strengthen those who are weak. Lord, help us to realize just how blessed we are. We may not have all that we want, but you continue to supply all of our needs. Lord, we just want to thank You for all that You have done in our lives and for all that You are about to do. Keep us all in perfect peace and help us to keep our minds and our hearts set on our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In His name we pray. Amen.

Do You Want to Be Made Well?

Scripture:
When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” John 5:6-8 (New King James Version)

As I studied the word of God today, I came across the story of the invalid who was lying by the pool at Bethesda. As Jesus approached the sick man, He asked, “Do you want to be made well?” Jesus asked the question to determine if the man had given up hope for a miracle or if it was still his desire to be healed. Jesus knew that when some people are sick for a long time, they sometimes become so accustomed to the illness that they may no longer care if they are healed or not.

As I read this story, it prompted me to ask myself, “Do I want to be made well?”

Now you may ask am I sick? No my friends. I am not sick in a physical sense, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t have sickness in other areas of my life. I have experienced sickness in my relationships with others, sickness in my finances and even sickness in how I relate to God.

I can relate to that lame man lying by the pool. So close to my miracle or breakthrough for so many years, but not quite able to reach out and touch it. This story made me wonder, “Have I gotten so used to my ailments that I have become accustomed to them, therefore, no longer expecting to be healed?”

Jesus isn’t looking for our excuses. He has already given us the power and the authority to pick up our own beds and walk. So saints of God, stop lying there on your beds of affliction.

Jesus is telling you, PICK UP YOUR BED AND WALK!

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Father God, I come before the throne of grace asking that You would forgive me for my unbelief. I have been in the pit of despair for so long that I may have become accustomed to being here. Lord, I don’t want to be here so I ask that You would take my hand and lead me to hallowed ground. Father, my eyes have been opened and now I see. I now ask that You would open my spiritual eyes as well. Help me to move forward with assistance of Your grace and mercy. Thank You Father for new revelations. Thank You Lord, for your Word. I thank You most of all for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in His name I pray. Amen.

God is Always On Time!

Scripture:
But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

Saints, how many of you become worried and discouraged sometimes? How many of you feel punch drunk from all of the hits that life throws at you? How many of you have been knocked down to you knees of flat on your back by things thrown your way? How many of you feel that you have reached the end of your rope?

So often others try to tell us that what we feel is wrong. It's not. They will say, we don't trust God. We do. They tell us we have no faith. we do, some days a little more than others.
Saints, I just want you to know that everyone will get a little discouraged sometimes. Each of us will cry tears of sorrow, sometimes. Every last single one of us will be knocked down by life and have doubts about our situations. Many of the greatest people in the bible experienced their own doubts. Moses, Abraham, Peter, and even Mary, mother of Jesus.

However, each and every one of them learned to listen to the voice of God. Each and every one of them, learned to wait on God. Each and every one of them allowed themselves to be led by God.

Each and everyone of them learned that he is an on time God! Yes he is!

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Thank You Jesus, that faith is not an emotion that I need to work up inside of me. Instead, it is a gift You give to me as I commit myself to You. Help each of us to grow in faith. Father, sometimes we become discouraged because things do not happen the way we hoped that they would. Help us to learn to be patient and not count on hope but to stand on our faith and know that in Your time, the things that You want for our lives will come to pass. Father, You have said that if we have the faith of a mustard seed and say to that mountain, that thing that stand in our way, be it sickness, poverty, bills, wayward children, cheating spouses, it will be cast into the sea. Father, we come believing that You will grant us the desires of our hearts according to thy tender mercies and through the blood of Jesus Christ, it is in his name we pray. Amen.

Cultivating Friendships

Scripture:
If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Ecclesiastes 4:10

Saints, what kind of friend are you? Are you the type of friend who is there for someone else? Are you the kind of friend who listens without judging? Are you there when someone needs a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold, or just someone to keep a sick friend company?

Would you give a friend your last dollar, share your last slice of bread, or offer a place to stay when your friend needs one? Are you the type of friend who would help another even if it is a big inconvenience?

Saints, what type of friends do you have in your life? Are they only there for what they can get? Are they there for prestige, to use you? Are they your friend for all the wrong reasons?

I am here to tell you that personally, I have a great group of friends. I don't expect my friends to be there all the time and do everything that I ask. But that doesn't mean we aren't still friends. My friends and I don't always get along, but we know that we can depend on each other when we need to.

However, I know I have a friend who will never leave me nor forsake me. Have you met him yet? If not, you need to.

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Father, we come this morning thanking You for the friends, our angels, that You have placed in our lives. Thank You for allowing me to be a friend to others. But most of all, thank You for the greatest friend of all, Jesus Christ. Lord, continue to heal our sick, comfort those who are struggling and protect us when we stray. Touch Your saints who are going through right now. Satan is still busy and would love to see each of us fail. So many are going through there own personal trials, but we know that You are still the judge who settles all matters for our good. Keep us all in perfect peace, Amen.

What's on Your Mind?

Scripture:
Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 1 Peter 1:13,14

Saints, how many of you have heard of self talk? What that means is that if you tell yourself something often enough, you begin to believe it for yourselves. Just like the story of the "Little Train That Could" who went from I think I can, I think I can, to I know I can, I know I can!

Well the same thing applies to our daily lives. When we constantly tell ourselves the same things over and over, I am going to have a bad day, no one loves me, I can't do that, I hate him/her, I hate my job, I will never do any of those things I always wanted to do, God doesn't hear my prayers. That is what we really start to believe.

Instead of telling yourself how much you can't do, start telling & believing in what God has told you, you can do!

I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS! I HAVE THE FAITH OF A MUSTARD SEED AND I AM TELLING THOSE MOUNTAINS OF DOUBT, HATE, ANGER, DISCORD, SICKNESS, UNHAPPINESS, STRESS, DEPRESSION; GET OUT OF MY WAY. I AM A CHILD OF THE MOST HIGH KING AND YES! JESUS LOVES ME!

Saints, tell satan to get out of your ear. Listen only to what God is telling you. And I guarantee you, you too will be just like the Little Train That Could! I KNOW I CAN, BECAUSE GOD HAS ALREADY GIVEN ME THE DESIRES OF MY HEART AND I CLAIM MY VICTORIES TODAY!
Be Blessed

Prayer:
Father, as we start a new day, help us to be mindful not to claim anything that is not of You. If my days don't start the way we want them to, that's okay, because this too shall pass. When we start to feel lonely or alone, That's okay, because Jesus will be with me, even until the end of time. When we no longer have those persons in our lives whom we thought would always be there for us and with us, that's okay, because Jesus Loves me. Lord touch our prayer list this morning, touch our soldiers, this morning, touch those saints who are reading this message right now. Help us to always be mindful that the victory is already won, by Christ Jesus and by his stripes, we are healed. Keep our families and loved ones under the wings of Your protection. Thank You Father for speaking a word into our spirit that heals the wounds that the world has inflicted upon us. Thank You Lord for the Blood of the Lamb. Thank You Lord for Loving us so much. Father, we lift up holy hands to You, thanking You and praising Your most Holy Name. In the name of Jesus, we submit this prayer, Amen.

Start Your Day With A Prayer

Scripture:
Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Mark 1:35

Saints, how many of you start your day with prayer? Do you take a moment before the world around you starts to become hectic to just praise him? Do you take just a moment to thank him for watching over you and your loved ones as you slept through the night? Do you Bless his holy name before you start your morning ritual?

I urge you to take a moment each and every morning to have a little talk with God. Tell him all about your troubles. Praise him, thank him, give him adoration. Ask him to continue to guide you throughout the day, directing your path, watch over you and your loved ones. Ask him to continue to protect you as you journey through your day. Ask him for peace and joy.

Try it. You will be surprised how much better you day can be!

Be blessed

Prayer:
This is another day, O Lord. We know not what it will bring forth, but make us ready for whatever it may be. Lord, we just want to thank You for watching over us as we slept and slumbered last night. We thank You that as we start a new day, You have given us fresh grace and mercy to take with us along the way. Fill our hearts with the peace of God. A peace that passes all understanding. Magnify Your presence in our lives O'Lord. Help us to develop more Christ like attributes. Make these words more than words, and give me the Spirit of Jesus. Father, we ask that Your angels would continue to be with us as we journey through this day. Continue to protect, heal, comfort, touch, bless, and anoint the saints listed below as well as those reading this prayer, right now. We bless Your holy name Father. We adore You, we love You, we lift Your name on high. Thank You Lord, for new beginnings. In the name of Jesus. Amen

Spiritual Food

Scripture:
"Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God." - Romans 15:7

Saints, this past Sunday after church, I was full and satisfied. You see, I went to my father's table and was fed by the word of God. I started the day by going to my new members class, where my local Sheppard, reminded us, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

After class, I rushed home to pick up my sons and my nephew so we could all return for more nourishment. Upon our return, I discovered that the service had already started and that the Holy Spirit was being uplifted and magnified in the sanctuary. I was ready to sip from the fountain that never runs dry.

Our guest pastor, an awesome man of God who provided plate after plate, after plate, of the most succulent morsels, just kept right on feeding my spirit. I along with so many others were so full as we drew near the end of the service, that we could barely make it out to our cars afterward.

Have you ever had so much to eat all you could do was keep on smiling all day? Did you get up the next morning with that same stupid smile plastered on you face at the thought of what wonderful things you feasted on the day before? Well saints, this morning, I did. And that how it should be with the word of God. A word that fill you so, that every time you think about it, a smile that lights up the world appears on your face.

Be Blessed

Prayer:
My soul is full of unspeakable joy at the thought of Your precious word. Father, we give thanks for our pastors this morning, who constantly remind us to seek the word of God. We thank You Lord, for Your word, that becomes manifest in our lives. We thank You Lord, for the Holy Spirit, that guides and directs us, in the word. We thank You Lord, for the word, that became flesh and dwelt among us. Lord, come this morning with a word hidden in our hearts and praises on our lips to uplift and magnify You this morning. We come Lord, thanking You for our brothers and sisters in Christ, who speak Your word into existence, and who have come to stand in the gap once again for one another. Lord, touch every family that is represented here today. We ask for a special covering of the blood, for those saints whose names are listed below. Every time we stop and think how wonderful You are, we say thank You. Every time we think about our blessings, we say thank You. Every time we think about Your word, We say; Thank You Lord, for Your word that keeps on blessing me. Father, we give You all honor, praise, and glory, in the name of Jesus, we submit our prayers. Amen.

He's After Our Children

Scripture:
My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity. My son, do not despise the LORD's discipline and do not resent his rebuke, because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father , the son he delights in. Proverbs 3:1-2 & 11-12

Saints, lately I have noticed an increase in the number of children who are rebelling against their parents upbringing. My oldest son included. The older children are talking back, doing what they want, and thinking that what ever they say or whatever they want goes. The younger children, well, for the most part they are all being disobedient.

As a single parent trying to raise two sons, one being a teenager, I sometimes feel that it would be easier to just give in to him rather than fight him everyday. But as a mother who loves her children very much, I refuse to let satan have my sons. As a result, the battles between my oldest and I increase.

But saints, I am here to tell you, it is our responsibility as parents to raise our children according to the word of God and not according to the standards of the world. Our children our not our own, but gifts from God that we must raise according to his standards and not the worlds.

Even as adults, when we are disobedient and want to do what we want, God will chastise us and cause us to turn back to him. He does this because he loves us enough to try to keep us for himself.

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Lord, Jesus, give faith and confidence to the ones who read these words, so that they will want to reach out their hands to their friends and pray that pain, despair, and sickness will be healed. Give them wisdom pray that pain will disappear and sickness will be healed. Give them wisdom to know best how to pray, fill their prayers with the faith that heals and their hands with the power that gives life and comfort. Thank You Lord for our children. Please grant us eyes to see the greatness in our children. Please give us the ears to hear Your love for us in our children. Allow us to experience Your presence in our homes and in the lives of those You have entrusted in our care. Thank You Lord for those precious gifts. Cover our children in the Blood of the lamb, so that when they our far from our sight, they are always under Your spirit of protection. Grant us the strength, the courage, and the wisdom to love our children enough to show teach them discipline. We love You Lord, and submit our prayers in the name of Jesus. Amen.

a Cure for Your Blues

Scripture:
For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. Isaiah 51:3

Saints, do you sometimes find yourselves filled with the blues? You know your soul is singing "They call it Stormy Monday But Tuesdays Just as Bad", "Everyday, I Sing the Blues", or "Cry Me a River"?

Well I am here to tell you, when you find yourself feeling sorry for yourselves, or feeling sorry about your circumstances, I know a place where the you can find comfort. The word of God. The word of God is not just something that you read on Sunday and then forget about on Monday. The word of God has everything you need to chase away those blues.

When life seems to be getting you down, turn to your favorite scriptures, or your favorite book of the bible, (I personally find Psalms to be very uplifting and encouraging). There is hope for today and tomorrow in the word of God. There is unspeakable joy and encouragement in the word of God.

There is a victory and a breakthrough somewhere in those 66 books that can chase away even the deepest darkest blues. All you have to do is look.

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus we come seeking a word to comfort our war torn souls. We come seeking peace and solace in Your word. We come seeking encouragement in Your word. Father, we know that You have said we can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens us. We come asking right now, for a word that can chase away our blues. Touch, bless, and anoint all of Your saints today. May each and every one of us find a word to hide in our hearts. Father, we love You even in our time of distress. We come giving You all praise, honor, and Glory. We ask these things in the name of Your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

The Throne of Grace

Scripture:
I love you, O LORD , my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call to the LORD , who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies. Psalm 18:1-3

Saints,
How many times have you found yourself so overwhelmed by life and didn't know what to do? How many times have you looked for an answer and couldn't find it? How often have you tried to talk to your friends or family about your situation and they just didn't have time or didn't seem to understand what your problem was?

Too often we seek solace and comfort in the wrong places. Too often we will turn to alcohol, drugs, or sex in our quest to find a little bit of peace, just for the moment. Well my brothers and sisters, I know a place where you can go where there is eternal peace. I know someone who always has time to talk about your problems. He even knows how to solve your problems, or at the very least find the answers to your questions.

It called the throne of grace, The alter of sacrificing, the mercy seat, the cross. It's at the feet of the master. On your face in total submission, and in reverence to his will. It's called surrendering yourself, seeking his face, calling on his name.

Just have a little talk with God. Tell him all about your troubles. And then, leave your all at the alter. He will make it better, bye and bye.

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Lord, Help me to hold out. Father, we come before the throne of grace, the alter of sacrificing, the mercy seat, asking that You would lend an ear to our prayers. Father God, we come lifting up the name of Jesus. We come asking for just one drop of Your grace and mercy this day. A drop to give us strength and comfort. A drop, to wash away our sins. A drop to heal our sick bodies and spirits. A drop that protects and comforts all in one. Lord, thank You for Your word. Your word that delivers new revelations each day. Your word that teaches and comforts. Your word that delivers. Keep us all wrapped in Your arms and under Your hedge of protection. Jesus, be a fence around us everyday. Lord, hear the cries of Your servants, let not our prayers be in vain. Bless each and everyone represented here today and every member of our respective families. We love You Lord, We bless Your Holy Name. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen

Finding Your Way

Scripture:
And I will bring the blind by a way they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them. Isaiah 42:16

Saints, As a child, did you ever get lost? One day out shopping our out with family and friends, somehow you became separated from your parents? Parents, has one of your children ever gotten lost?

Not long ago, my youngest son became lost while out with some friends at the Detroit Auto show. I was not there but received a call on my cell phone to let me know that he had gotten lost but was safe.

When I arrived to pick my son up, as the police officer walked him to my car, I noticed that my son was not crying nor was he upset. As a matter of fact, he seemed to be taking the whole thing in stride.

As we rode home and I asked what happened, he told me how he had become separated and what he did. He was in a car and somehow, when the older boys had gotten out of the car they didn't notice that he was no longer with him. Since my son no longer could see his companions or their father, he did what he had been taught to do. He went up to someone who was working there and told them he was lost. They told my son he wasn't lost, the people he had come with were lost, because he knew where he was.

Saints of God, sometimes in our lives we too lose our way and become lost. Or so it seems to us. We too will need help to find our way home to our Father. The key is recognizing that we are lost and need help to find our way home. We recognize that wherever we may be in our journey doesn't look familiar to us. Or somehow we have become separated from those with whom we have made the journey with.

The key is identifying someone, one of God's angels, who can help us find our way home.

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Father, sometimes as we journey through this life, we become lost. We find that we have somehow become separated from You. We look around us and nothing looks familiar, or we recognize that the things around us are not of You. We don't know how to find our way back to You because we don't know how we got to this place. But Lord, You have told us time and time again, that You are just a prayer away. Thank You Lord, for the power of prayer. Father, help us to recognize those times when we find ourselves in a far country, far away from Your grace and mercy. Help us Lord, to recognize Your angels who will help us to find our way home. Father, we thank You for Your under-Shepards who You have given charge over us. Because there have been times when we didn't even recognize just how lost we have been, but You have sent them out to bring us back into the fold. Now Lord, we ask that You would continue to touch our brothers and sisters in Christ as well as our unsaved families members and friends. So many need so much. We don't know the need of each individual but we know You do. Bless us Lord in the area of our lives that we have need of. Father God, our hearts are overflowing with Your love. Thank You Lord, for that love. We come before the throne of grace once again, just to give You honor, glory and praise. Bless the name of the Lord. Glory to Your name Lord. Thank You for loving me enough to sacrifice Your only begotten son, Jesus Christ, it is in His name we pray, Amen.

Are You Afraid?

Scripture:
For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. Isaiah 41:13

Saints, Are you afraid of anything? Are you afraid that you won't be able to do something, pay something, get something, overcome something? Have you seen something on television that has you scared? Do you know someone who has been robbed, hurt, faced with and unexpected tragedy and you are afraid that it might happen to you too?

Saints, are you afraid to go after your dream? Declare your independence, leave that abusive relationship, seek the job or career that you really want? Do you even realize that fear may be keeping you from receiving your blessing?

Saints of God, when we fear the unknown, we are saying to God, we don't trust him. When we become immobilized by fear, we are saying to God, we don't believe in his word. When we don't step out on faith, we are saying to God, I don't believe who you are and in the promises that have been given to me by the sacrificing of your son, Jesus Christ.

Learn to overcome your fears, replace your fears with faith. Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and he will move you from fear to faith.

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Jesus, You know how scared I am sometimes, even when I hide it from those around me. Please take my fears, Lord. Sometimes they're all I have to give You. Teach me Lord to learn to walk in faith. Replace my insecurities with Your strength. Replace my doubts with Your word. Empower me Lord, through the power and the light of the Holy Spirit. Lord, take my hand and walk with me today. Let me Lord, learn to speak to those storms in life that seem to throw me off course. When my fears would begin to overcome me, may Your spirit and Your light shine down on me so that I would learn to walk in Your word and into my blessing. Thank You Father for the comforter that is with me always. The power that comes from the Holy Spirit. Now Lord, I ask Your blessings for my brothers and sisters in Christ who stand in the gap with me for one another. Bless them Lord. Grant them new fresh grace and mercy today. Touch, bless and anoint those saints whose names are listed below. We love You Lord. We praise Your Holy Name. We thank You Lord, who sits on high and looks low and blesses us, despite us. Thank You Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen.

Don't Take Your Blessings for Granted

Scripture:
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God. Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. 2 Corinthians 1:20-22

Saints, how often do you stop and think about how truly blessed you are? Or do you just take your blessings for granted. Now before many of you answer, I must tell you that yes, there are times when I know that I have taken my blessing for granted.

You see, when things are going right in your lives, it is so easy to give the credit for your blessing away. For example, when you are promoted do you thank God or do you think you did it by shear hard work and determination. When you marry that man/woman of your dreams do you think that it was your love alone that made them want to marry you, or is it possible that they may have seen the love of God in you?

In our times of prosperity let us always remember to Thank God!

Prayer:
O God, early in the morning we cry to You. Help us to pray And to concentrate our thoughts on You. We cannot do this alone. In us there is darkness, But with You there is light. Some of us are lonely, but You do not leave us. Some are feeble in heart, but with You there is help. There is discord among us but with You there is peace. Lord, whatever this day may bring, Your name be praised. Lord, in every need let us come to You with humble trust saying, "Jesus, have mercy." In the time of troubles and temptations, Jesus, have mercy. In hours of loneliness, weariness, and trials, Jesus, have mercy. In the failure of our plans and hopes; in disappointments and sorrows, Jesus, have mercy. When others fail us and Your grace alone can assist us, have mercy. When our hearts are cast down by failure at seeing no good come from our efforts, Jesus, have mercy. When we feel impatient and our cross irritates us, Jesus, have mercy. When we are ill and our heads and hands cannot work and we are lonely, Jesus, have mercy. Always, always, in spite of weakness, failings, and shortcomings of every kind, Jesus, have mercy and never forsake us. Father, this day I will praise You at every turn. We will sing songs of praise to You despite whatever we may be going through, we will say hallelujah, anyhow. No matter what today may bring, we will love You, anyhow. Lord, we give all thanks, honor and glory to You alone. As we submit our prayers and petitions to You in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Level of Faith

Scripture:
"Now then, stand still and see this great thing the LORD is about to do before your eyes!
1 Samuel 12:16

I often have conversations with various people regarding our level of faith. Each and every one of us has spiritual challenges. No matter how faithful you are, how much you try to live and do right, nor how prayerful you remain, you will still go through many spiritual valleys.

At one time or another it appears as though your prayers will never be answered. You pray about it. You say you have to God and still here we are, way down the road and the problem or problems are still there. And in some cases the problems have intensified.

I know this year has been a year of many intense challenges for me. I have been unemployed, forced to move, and had my car reposed and so much more. Even some of my relationships have been challenged, even my sister who I consider my best friend and I were at odds for a while. There were many nights that I cried myself to sleep asking God, Why me Lord? What have I done but be faithful to you? He answered; "why not you?"

You see saints, even I realize that some of these messages that go out each day, wouldn't be as powerful IF they were not birthed in our trials. You see, how would I be able to write about how GOOD and FAITHFUL he is to me, if I couldn't share my testimonies with you. I can't begin to count the number of times someone has written to me to say just how much a message has touched and blessed them. I can't begin to tell you the number of times someone has said, "I was praying about something and when I opened your message this morning I knew it was God confirming my prayers".

You see Saints, it's not about me. It's not about what I am going through. It's all about God. My life is not my own. It's his to do what he pleases. My whole purpose in this world, no matter what I want it to be, is to edify him in all that I do and say. My job each and everyday is to tell somebody about my Jesus.

My job is to spread the good news of the Gospel. My job is to encourage you so that you will seek the kingdom of God "FIRST".

So Saints of God, be encouraged. God has not forgot. He sees and knows all about your troubles. He said "He will never leave us or forsake us, if we seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness". And you know, God cannot Lie!

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Lord, we come before You once again to have just a moment with You. Father, touch my heart, my spirit and my soul today. May something that I do or say cause someone to seek Your face and Your word. Father, we come before You in the name of the Lamb, Jesus Christ. We come humbling ourselves and asking for Your continued grace and mercy. Lord, keep each and every saint as well as their families safe today. Father, someone needs to know that no matter what they are going through, You are still in control. Someone needs to know, that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Someone needs to know that even though we may be walking through the valley we are still covered under the wings of Your salvation. Thank You Father. Thank You Jesus. It is in His name we pray. Amen.

My Friend, Jesus

Scripture:
When Jesus saw their faith, he said, "Friend, your sins are forgiven." Luke 5:20

Today I want to talk to you about friendship. I received a wonderful story about friendship from a very good friend. (see Mamajacq‘s Kitchen). It caused me to think about my friends.
You see, I have a multitude of friends. But a very small circle of intimate friends. Some of these intimate friends, I have known for many, many years. Some only a few.

I have had friends who were very important to me, come and go. I have friends who I talk to on a regular basis and some I may only talk to a few times a year. And there are others that if we don't talk every few days, we know that something is wrong.

Recently, my friendship with two lifelong friends were altered drastically. One of these two friends I had been friends with for almost forty years and the other for almost thirty years. My heart was broken in both cases. One was because I was late to an event and the other was because they were blinded about materialistic things and wanted only what they wanted.

I can honestly say that with each and everyone of my friends, we have gotten angry with one another. Even my sisters and I have gotten angry with each other. But you know what? In most of these cases we realize that even when we don't agree about something, we are still friends and realize that our friendship is more important that whatever disagreements we may be having.

But there is one friend that I have who never gets angry with me. I know that sometimes, I may disappoint him, but he forgives me, he wipes away my tears, he holds my hand when I am scared, helps me fight off those who try to take advantage of me, helps me put the past behind me but understands when I need to hold on to it a little longer, stays with me so that I have confidence, goes out of their way to make time for me, helps me clear up my mistakes, helps me deal with pressure from others, smiles for me when I am sad, helps me become a better person, and most importantly loves me!

My friend Jesus! I hope he is your friend too.

Be Blessed

Prayer:
What a friend we have in Jesus, all my sins and grief to bear. What a privilege to carry, everything to God in prayer. You have created us to live in community, O God of love. Bless our friends who provide us with the grace and love of an extended family. Endow them with the riches of Your blessings; good health, sight, and mobility, that they may enjoy the wonders of Your creation and share their delight with others. Bless them with keen minds and compassionate hearts that they may create a better life for all. Guard them from injustice, oppression, and evil that they may know freedom and hope lifelong. In their waking and in their sleeping, in their laughter and in their tears, surround them with Your love until the end of their days; and so bring them to eternal life in peace. Through Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen.

My Help

Scripture:
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. Psalm 121:1

Saints, are you tired and run down? Do you feel like you just can't go any further. Does life keep you running so much that you just can't seem to get any rest? Are you so overwhelmed that you just don't know what to do?

Well, today we have a special offer. All you have to do is get down on your knees, and call the Master. Jesus. For the unbelievable cost of just a prayer, You Can Renew Your Strength.
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

If you call right now, you can receive this special offer! Peace, everlasting. Strength to keep on keeping on, and Joy unspeakable.

So pick up the phone right now! Jesus is on the main line. Call him up!

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Father, we come this morning seeking Your face. We come asking for help this morning to make it through yet another day. Father God, we ask that You continue to touch our prayer list. Help us lord to be mindful that You are our strength and that we can do all things through Christ Jesus. We love You Lord, and humbly submit our petitions in the mighty name of the Lamb, Jesus Christ. Amen. The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him. I call out to the Lord. He is worthy of praise. He saves me from my enemies. The Lord lives! Give praise to my Rock! Give honor to God, the Rock! He is my Savior! Lord, we come once again singing songs of praise. Lord, we honor You because You are who You said You are. You are the rock of my salvation. You are my strength. You are my salvation. You are the one and only true God! Thank You Lord for saving me. Father, Abba, Great Jehovah, You are known by many names, but no matter which name we call on, You will answer. Thank You Lord, for answering prayer. No my Lord, we ask that You would continue to do great things in our lives. The world today is ruled by a spirit of darkness. Lord, we ask that we, Your saints, would become those lights that guide others home to You. Father, may something that we do this day, or something that we say this day, be a blessing unto someone else. May we always hide Your word in our hearts. But more importantly, may we always allow Your word and the Holy Spirit to guide us in all we do and say. Now Lord, Bless us, Keep us, Protect us, Strengthen us. Lord, we could never thank You enough for our blessings. But we say thank You anyhow. We could never express just how much we love You, but we say we love You anyhow. We could never be worthy of Your grace and mercy. But we thank You for giving us those gifts anyhow. Thank You Lord. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Glory to God. Amen.
