God's Treasure

Scripture:
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. "The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. Mathew 6;20-22

Recently a friend, sent me a story about a little girl who treasured a strand of dime store pearls. This little girl thought the pearls were wonderful and they where her most prized possession.

Well the story goes on to tell how her father, knowing how much this little girl loved these pearls, asked her if she loved him too. Of course her response was yes. But when he asked if he could have the pearls, the little girl would response, oh no, but you can have one of my other treasures. This went on for awhile, until one day with tears in her eyes, the little girl gave her daddy the cheap pearls.

Her father who loved her very much reached into his pocket and pulled out a real set of pearls that he been waiting to give his daughter when she was ready to give up the cheap ones that she treasured so deeply.

The moral of the story is this; How often do we covet something that only looks good? How often do we hold on to a relationship that only looks good to the world, but we know in our hearts, that it is not all it appears to be?

How often do we say we love our heavenly father, but are unwilling to give up those things in our lives, that are cheap, gaudy, and superficial? How often must he ask us do we love him enough to give up what we treasure the most to follow him? How long does he have to wait to give you the purest treasure of all? His love.

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Father God, forgive us for loving things more than You. Forgive us not listening to Your cries. Forgive us Lord for not seeing our own selfishness. Father, help us to develop a discerning spirit that would help us to recognize those things in our lives that You yearn for us to give up. Help us to be still, be quiet, listen for Your voice that tells us how much You love us, when the world around us tries to tell us otherwise. Father, may we always seek You face, Your wisdom, and Your mercy. For we are weak and need Your strength. Thank You Lord, for the new revelations we discover in Your word each day. Continue to touch, bless, and anoint all who come seeking Your word today. Help each of us find that path that You have chosen for us. Order our steps Holy Spirit, so that we may always walks in right relation with You. Keep each and every family that is represented here safe under the wings of Your salvation. As we as these and all things in the name of Your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Have You Been Blessed?

Scripture:
For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more. Luke 12:48

Saints, have you been blessed? Has God manifested a miracle in your life? Has God granted you the desires of your heart at any point in your life? Has he shown you mercy when mortal man wouldn't?

Well I am here to tell you, you owe God for everything that he has done for you. Now some of you may ask, How do I owe God and how do I pay him back for all he has done for me? You give God all that you have! You start by giving praise, honor, glory, and Thanks. Then you dedicate your life to him and his work.

How do you do that? Just open you mouth and say, Lord We Love You. Lord we Praise You. Lord we Honor you. Lord We glorify you most Holy Name. And most of all Lord, we Thank You for all of your bountiful Blessings. Then you ask him, what can I do in your name?

Lift him up. Help someone else in his name. Stop thinking about only yourself and your family.

Look around you and see how you can make a difference in someone else's life. But one of the most important things you can do for God is to be a witness, in all that you do, all that you say, the way you treat others, and tell others just how blessed you are.

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Lord, in the name of Jesus we come thanking You for all that You have done for us. We come this morning, not asking You for anything, but just to praise and uplift Your name. Lord, we Love You with all of our hearts, we love You will all of our spirit and from the depths of our very souls. Lord, we Praise Your name from the tops of every mountain, and even as we walk through the valley. Thank You for Your goodness. Thank You for Your mercy, thank You for Your grace. But most of all, thank You for the Blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ, that saves sinners just like us. We give You all our hearts, this day. In the magnificent name of Your son Jesus Christ, we submit our prayer. Amen.

Leave It In the Past

Scripture:
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:12-14

Saints, how many of you are still mad about something that happened yesterday, last week, or even last year? How many of you are still upset with someone because of something that they did to you in the past? How many of you are afraid to do something or go somewhere because of something that happened to you in your past?

Saints of God, we must learn to let go of our past fears, our past hurts, and even past slights. We must learn that what happened in the past is just that, in the past. Each and every one of us has had something bad happen to us in the past but we must learn to let go and let God. We must learn to forgive and move on.

How can we expect forgiveness if we won't forgive. How can we expect a healing if we continue to let a sore fester. How can we walk into our future is we won't let go of our past?

How can we expect God's light to shine in us when we are still holding on to a dark past?

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Lord, we come once again seeking your face. Father God, we come this morning to give thanks, honor and glory to you. Teach us Lord, to let go of those things that are behind us. Help us Lord, to walk into a new day that is filled with your fresh grace and new mercies. Lord, I am a sinner who is in need of forgiveness. Forgive me Lord for yesterday. Lord, let my thoughts and my words be a reflection of your word. Let my spirit be led by you alone. Father, search me Lord, remove those things in me that are not of you. Remove the anger, the hurt, the mean spirits that bind me and prevent me from walking in right relation with you. Fill me Lord, with your peace, your joy, your love and your spirit. Bind those things that prevent me from moving forward into your marvelous light. Have mercy on your saints today. Heal our sick. Deliver us from evil. Strengthen those who are weak, encourage those who are without hope. Help us always to be mindful of that it is by your word and your spirit that we will be victorious in Christ Jesus. Thank you Lord. Bless your name. Praise God from whom all our blessings flow. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

A God of Abundance

Scripture: various - SEE BELOW

Saints, This morning I want to tell you about my God. You see, I call him my God because to me, he is my personal God. Now that doesn't mean I can't share him with you, but to me it means that we have a one on one relationship.

You see, my Father is always there for me. When I am in need, he supplies. And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

When I cry, he wipes my tears away. he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth. The LORD has spoken. Isaiah 25:8.

When I am hungry, he feeds me. he rained down manna for the people to eat, he gave them the grain of heaven. Psalm 78:24

When I am tired, he comforts me. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

When I am weak, he gives me strength. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

My list goes on and on. You see, my God supplies everything that I will ever need. He is my strength, my joy, my protector, my sustainer, my comforter, my Father & Mother, my friend.

But you know what saints, the most important thing that my God is to me, is my Personal Lord and Savior. Who loved me enough to sacrifice his own son so that you and I could dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever!

Be Blessed

Prayer:
You are El Shaddia, the God of Abundance. All Sufficient God. The Mighty One. The God who is More Than Enough. You are also Jehovah Nissi. God My Banner, Elohim, God of Total Power. You are The First and the Last, The Alpha and Omega, The Beginning and the End. You are my all and all. Lord, we come before the throne of grace humbling ourselves before You. We bow down in total reverence and submission to You. Lord we adore You. We praise You, but most of all, we thank You. We thank You Lord for one more day. One more chance, one more opportunity to go forth and do a good works in Your name. Lord, we come standing together as one. We join together on one accord, touching and agreeing this day, to intercede on behalf of our brothers and sisters. Lord, we ask that each of us would begin to develop a more personal relationship with You. We ask Lord, that Your power and Your spirit would be magnified in our lives. Lord, may something that we do or say today, lead someone to seek Your face. Touch, bless, anoint, heal, deliver, sustain, cover, and keep those saints who are listed on our prayer list. May You add a blessing to those saints and their families who are reading this prayer. Lord, we love You and praise You. Thank You father for our personal Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen. Praise God. Hallelujah!!

You Are Never Alone

Scripture:
The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Isaiah 58:11

Saint, Do you ever feel that your life is in constant conflict? Do you sometimes feel like you are in a daily battle? You get prayed up, Holy Ghost filled, and armed with your spiritual weapons only to walk out the door and get hit with satan's heavy artillery?

You try to fight the good fight of faith, but sometimes it just gets too hard. He knocks you down and just keeps dropping bomb after bomb on you. How often have you felt too weak to go on?
Well Saints of God, I want to remind you that first of all; the battle is not yours, it's the Lord's. He is the General of this army. The captain of this ship. The ruler of your world. We must look to him FIRST for direction, strength, and leadership.

Secondly, when your spiritual storehouse is running low, you know where you can go to get more. The throne of Grace. Our God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come once again kneeling at the foot of thy throne to honor You. We come this morning thanking You Lord for keeping us yet another day. Father, we know that we don't always honor You as we should, but we ask that You would forgive us once more. Lord, we come asking that You would strengthen and us and prepare us for the journey that lies ahead today. Father, we don't know what to expect today, but we ask that no matter what we may be faced with that You would magnify Your presence in our lives. Father, help us to see the tricks of satan. Help us to see our sins for what they are. Lord, hide us under the wings of Your salvation. Keeping us in perfect peace. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Judge Not

Scripture:
But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. John 8:6-7

Saint, how many of you gossip? How many of you talk about one another? How many of you pass judgment against someone because they do not belief what you belief? How many of you listen to the gossip of others just because you find it interesting?

Saints, too often we, and yes I did say we, find ourselves looking at others and judging others by what we believe to be true. Too often we rush to hear what others are talking about because we become curious. Too often, we want to look down on the unsaved because they are not living by the word of God and so we believe we are better than them and have the right to say what we want.

We must remember that it is only by the grace of God that you and I are who we are. It is only by God's grace and mercy that we know his word. It is only because of God that we have what we have.

Don't give satan any glory by tearing your brothers and sister down with your judgments. Don't allow satan to come between you and God through gossip. Remember, don't judge, lest you be judged. And when you are pointing your finger at someone else, there are four more pointing back at you.

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. - 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 Lord, Lord, forgive us for our wicked tongues. Lord, keep us so that we may not sin against one another with words. Father, we know that there is power in the tongues of Your saints. So today Lord, we Your saints of God will bless not only You, but we will continuously bless our brothers and sisters in Christ. Father, when we are approached with idle gossip about someone, rather than join in on the conversation, help us to lift that person up in praise and spirit. Lord, keep us from being judgmental against one another and to show the love of Jesus Christ in everything that we do and say. We love You Lord. We Bless Your holy name. Cover Your saints today with the blood of salvation. Keep us Lord, so that we may not sin against one another. We ask these and all things in the name of Jesus. Amen.

What are You Giving Power To?

Scripture:
Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 1 Peter 1:13,14

Saints, how many of you have heard of self talk? What that means is that if you tell yourself something often enough, you begin to believe it for yourselves. Just like the story of the "Little Train That Could" who went from I think I can, I think I can, to I know I can, I know I can!

Well the same thing applies to our daily lives. When we constantly tell ourselves the same things over and over, I am going to have a bad day, no one loves me, I can't do that, I hate him/her, I hate my job, I will never do any of those things I always wanted to do, God doesn't hear my prayers. That is what we really start to believe.

Instead of telling yourself how much you can't do, start telling & believing in what God has said that you can do!

I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS! I HAVE THE FAITH OF A MUSTARD SEED AND I AM TELLING THOSE MOUNTAINS OF DOUBT, HATE, ANGER, DISCORD, SICKNESS, UNHAPPINESS, STRESS, DEPRESSION; GET OUT OF MY WAY. I AM A CHILD OF THE MOST HIGH KING AND YES! JESUS LOVES ME!

Saints, tell satan to get out of your ear. Listen only to what God is telling you. And I guarantee you, you too will be just like the Little Train That Could! I KNOW I CAN, BECAUSE GOD HAS ALREADY GIVEN ME THE DESIRES OF MY HEART AND I CLAIM MY VICTORIES TODAY!
Be Blessed

Prayer:
Father, as we start a new day, help us to be mindful not to claim anything that is not of You. If my days don't start the way we want them to, that's okay, because this too shall pass. When we start to feel lonely or alone, That's okay, because Jesus will be with me, even until the end of time. When we no longer have those persons in our lives whom we thought would always be there for us and with us, that's okay, because Jesus Loves me. Lord touch our prayer list this morning, touch our soldiers, this morning, touch those saints who are reading this message right now. Help us to always be mindful that the victory is already won, by Christ Jesus and by his stripes, we are healed. Keep our families and loved ones under the wings of Your protection. Thank You Father for speaking a word into our spirit that heals the wounds that the world has inflicted upon us. Thank You Lord for the Blood of the Lamb. Thank You Lord for Loving us so much. Father, we lift up holy hands to You, thanking You and praising Your most Holy Name. In the name of Jesus, we submit this prayer, Amen.

Your Change is Gonna Come

Scripture:
O people of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you. Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it." Isaiah 30:19-21

So often I talk to people who are going through. Whether it be financial difficulties, sickness, death, or loss of faith. Sometimes, the things that we are faced with seem to overwhelm us. We begin to feel like we can't make it. We question why? Why me? What have I done to deserve this.

Well Saints, I know that whatever your circumstances may be, know this. Your change is gonna come. I know that for some of you, right now it's hard to see your way out. I know that for some of you, you have been waiting for what seems like a life time. I know that for some of you, it's hard to believe that your circumstances can and will change.

But know that God can do anything but fail. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths.

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Father God, who sits high and looks low. We come pleading the blood of Jesus in our lives. Father, so many are faced with so much. Touch now Lord Jesus. Strengthening those we are weak. Comforting those who's very souls are in distress. Granting breakthroughs in every situation that Your saints are faced with. Lord, have mercy on Your saints this day. Touch Stacy and Lucy this morning, whose spirits are growing weary and tired from adversity. Touch, bless, and anoint all of Your saints today, especially those who have asked for intercessory prayer. We love You Lord, and know that You can do anything but fail. Thanking You for all of our breakthroughs this day, we humbly ask these and all things in the name of Jesus. Amen.

God Is

Scripture:
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shate and with swelling thereof. Selah. Psalm 46:1-3

How often have you heard the phrase; I am too Blessed to be stressed? I am sure many of you have also used that phrase in response to the question; how are you doing today?

So often we speak the words and don't really believe what we are saying. We may start our day of on a pleasant not, then some things happens to upset you. Rather than allowing God to handle the situation, we begin to worry. We worry about our bills, our spouses, our jobs, and the list just goes on and on.

God tells us time and time again, give me your worries, your cares, your concerns, your problems. And leave them with me. I got this! The song of the day that I mentioned is very special to me. It says; "God is the joy and the strength of my life. He removes all pain, misery and strife. He promised to keep me; never to leave, and he never ever comes short of his word." "GOD IS MY ALL AND ALL!"

Saints of God, we must learn to cast all of our burdens onto the Lord. He's Got This!

Be Blessed

Prayer:
When trouble comes God, help me to trust in You. Lord, sometimes we forget that You are our ever present help in the time of trouble. Thank You Lord, for being there when we need You. Lord, when we begin to falter and start to worry about our problems, help us to remember to be still and pray to You. When the problems of life seem to overwhelm us, help us to remember You are right there with us. God help us to realize that weeping may endure for a night, and that sometimes it is necessary for trouble to assail us so that we can see You manifested in our lives. Lord, We ask for strength today. The strength to stand and fight the good fight of faith yet another day. Lord, grant us peace today. Your peace that passes all understanding. Lord, fill our hearts with Your love. Your love that is not our selfish definition, but the love of Christ Jesus, that strengthens us. Now Lord, we come together on one accord to pray for one another. For no matter how heavy our cross seems, we recognize that we are blessed beyond our own imaginations. Bless our brothers and sisters in Christ. Bless our loved ones who have not come to know You yet. But most of all, we Bless Your holy name. In Christ Jesus, we pray. Amen.

The Right Path

Scripture:
"The Steps of a Good Man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighted in his way-- Psalms 37:22-24

Saints, do you truly listen to the voice of God? What I mean by that is do you hear him when he tells you what to do and how to do it? Do you even recognize when it is his voice speaking to you?

How many times have you been in a situation and asked yourself, what am I going to do about this? How many times have you just spoken a question and the answer just seemed to come to you? How many times have you been lost in a situation and just didn't know how you where going to get out of it? And suddenly, the problem or the situation seemed to remedy itself.

How many of you study the Word of God on a regular basis? How many of you have heard the statement hide the word of God in your heart? Now this last statement may sound a little strange to you, but there is a reason for this line of questioning.

You see, the word of God serves several functions. It is our roadmap to how to live a Holy life. It is our conscience so that we do not sin. It is our strength and comforter in a time of need. The word of God is our sword to fight against the evil one who seeks to destroy us. It is God himself " In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God".

Saints, each and every one of us needs to learn the word of God. His voice will never lead us astray His word will never return unto us void. He word is our light in a time darkness. His will, will never fail us.

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Father, may we always hide Your word in our hearts. Father, may we learn to listen and hear Your voice. Father God, help us to learn to be obedient to Your word. Your word, which is the same today, yesterday, and forever word. Your Word, that spoke the world into existence. Your Word, that sooths our souls when nothing else can. We come thanking You today for Your word. We come thanking You today, for our hedge of protection. We come giving You our love and adoration for all that You do for us and our loved ones. But most of all we thank You for the greatest gift that could ever be given. The gift of Your son, Jesus Christ. Lord, we just want to say thank You for Your word. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Walking By Faith

Scripture:
Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues. 1 Corinthians 12: 27-28

Saints, many think that because a person is walking by faith that problems do not occur in his/her life. Many believe that ministers, counselors, lecturers, writers or other religious workers aren't challenged or have valley experiences. It is assumed that every thing in their lives always runs smoothly. NOT TRUE.

Walking with Jesus and practicing the principles He taught, usually assist believers to stand in the face of adversity, to rise above situations, go around, under or through them. These people allow God to guide, direct and rule in their lives. Even then there are times when the going gets rough.

Remember that these people are people just like us. They have feelings, they have tempers, they have little idiosyncrasies that irks them. They too need prayers of protection. They too, need to go to the alter, They too run low on fuel sometimes. That is okay.

Pray for your Pastor today. Pray for your Sunday School teacher, Pray for your assistant pastor. Pray for your Bible Study teacher. Pray for all of those who are working on God's behalf, everyday.

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Father we come today with empty hearts and open arms. We come today to just praise You just one more time. Father we come so that we may exalt Your name to the highest. Father we thank You for the Agape Love that has been given to us. Father we ask that You touch the lives of al Your Pastors, Teachers and other religious workers. Father we ask that You touch everyone that need You today. Father touch those who are in the courtroom today. Touch those who are in the Dr. office today. Father touch those who are incarcerated today. Father touch those who have a substance abuse problem Lord. Father we just ask that You just fall down on us. Father we ask these and many other blessings in Your precious son Jesus' name. Amen.

When Bad Things Happen

Scripture:
For the LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your forefathers, which he confirmed to them by oath. Deuteronomy 4:31

Saints,
Things happen in life that seem overwhelming. It may be a car accident, a robbery, a fire or the loss of a job. Sometimes when these things happen, we have a tendency to want to dwell on the "what could have happened". We could have been killed, we could have been home, we could have been gone. They could have kept me and put me someplace else.

Well my brothers and sisters, let me tell you what did happen. Yes, you were in a car accident, but you walked away. Yes you was robbed at gunpoint, but you walked away. Yes you loss some furniture and have to make some home repairs, but you are still here to talk about it. Yes, you lost your job, but you still have a roof over your head and food on the table.

Saints, bad things will happen in your life. It's just a part of living. Stuff Happens!

But rather than dwell on your losses, praise God for your victories!

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Father, Thank You for my victories. Thank You for allowing us to walk away from situations where we could have died. Thank You Lord, for placing Your hedge of protection around us. Thank You Lord for saving us in situations when we didn't even realize that we were in harms way. Lord, I ask that You would continue to keep each and every saint that is represented here, in perfect peace. Lord, today someone will be faced with a difficult decision. I ask that You would give them a spirit of discernment. Someone will have to let a loved one go. We ask that You would comfort them and allow their loved one to leave in peace. Father, give us the courage to stand on our faith, to let go and let You take control. Lord we love You. We praise and thank You for our victories, both large and small. We ask that You would magnify Your power and Your presence in our lives today and that You would continue to bless each and everyone of our brothers and sisters. In Jesus name, Amen

I Won't Complain

Scripture:
In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 2 Timothy 3

Saints,
I personally love the word of God. I love to hear the word, for myself. I love to read the word, for myself. And I love reading and hearing the word preached by others. Every now and then, I read or hear about someone teaching something about the word that just isn't true.

Unfortunately, you hear about some who teach that if something bad happens to you, you deserve it. If something goes wrong in your life, you deserve it. If you lose your job, your finances, your spouse and/or anything else, you must have done something wrong.

Sometimes, even we as Christians will say things to make people feel as though they deserve the trials and tribulations that come against them. Not long ago, I heard a story about a preacher who refused to help someone in his own congregation who was faced with financial difficulties. This man of God said "The church didn't get you into your mess, so it's not up to the church to get you out".

Now let me preface this with, this is hearsay, and I would pray that a leader of the church wouldn't actually say something like that to someone who has come to them seeking help. It is our duty; no it is our responsibility to help others. And not just our immediate families.

Saints of God, as Christians, trials and tribulations will come against you. Things will happen to you that sometimes just don't make sense. We can be doing well today and lose it all in the blink of an eye. Just like Job. It is up to each and everyone of us to remain faithful and stand on the word of God.

Just like the song says, I've had some good times, and I've had some bad times. But my good times outweigh my bad times. The Lord has been Good to me!

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Father, Thank You for Your word. Even though trials and tribulations come against me and sometimes it seems as though I can't hold on any longer, Your word sustains me. Lord, we know and recognize that life will come against You and that there will be both good and bad times, but we know that You are with us even when it seems all hope is gone. Thank You Lord, for keeping me. Father, continue to touch, bless, heal, anoint, deliver, strengthen and comfort Your saints whose names are listed on our prayer list. Continue to cover us under the wings of Your salvation. Thank You Lord. Bless You Lord, as we pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.

God's Promise

Scripture:
So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. Matthew 21:21 (New King James Version)

Saints,
I don’t know if you are anything like me, but periodically, I will begin to doubt my purpose and abilities. You see, I have gone through some things that cause me to question if I have “the right stuff”. Do I have the right job skills, parenting skills and life skills.

When I lost my job, I began to doubt in my abilities to do the work. When my children do things that are contrary to how I have attempted to raise them, I will doubt whether or not I am a good parent. And sometimes when it comes to making the right decisions on how to live, I begin to question whether or not I am making right choices.

As I lay in bed late one night, doubting and questioning everything I have ever done since High School, I heard a voice say, “I have not given you a spirit of fear and you doubt you have fear. You fear because you are listening to the lies of the devil and the devil is a liar”.

You see Saints of God, my God reminded me that he has already given me everything that I need to make it in this world. He reminded me that he has given me all power and authority in Christ Jesus. He has given me access to the throne of grace.

Brothers and sisters, each of us will have doubts about our lives, but the word of God has already assured us that if we just trust in the Lord, this too shall pass.

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Lord, with Your blood, You wiped away my sins leaving me promises to enjoy in faith until You come back to claim me as Your own. It takes patience to live in faith, and I confess that sometimes my patience runs thin. I wonder why You don’t act in ways that I can see and understand. Why is there so much evil and suffering in this world that discourage both the faithful and the unfaithful? I don’t understand. Help me to realize that my understanding is not necessary for the completion of Your plan. You understand everything; all I need to do is have faith. In the meantime, keep me free from wavering, Lord. Your faithfulness is perfect, and Your will be done. Lord, I thank you for Your word that speaks to my soul when I am weary. I thank You father, for I know and realize that there is no testimony without a test. I thank You Lord, for even when I am weak, You are still strong. Lord, we bless Your name and submit our prayer in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Anchoring Yourself

Scripture:
Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven. Psalm 107:28-30

Saints, Many of us feel that almost daily, we are caught in some type of storm. Financial storms, relationship storms, storms with our physical health, storms, with our mental health, storms on the Job, and storms in the home. Just when one storm seems to be over, we can see another one coming up on the horizon.

Now I know that most you live in Michigan and many of you don't. For those of us who live in the Midwest, we have learned how to deal with snow storms, ice storms, and rain storms. We don't always like them, but we learn how to accept them and deal with them.

When I go out West, I wonder how my friends deal with the mud slides, earthquakes, falling rocks, and other storms and calamities that are common for their part of the country. The usual response is, we have just learned how to deal with them just like you deal with the snow and ice in your part of the country.

Saints, I want you to know today that no matter where you live, learn how to deal with the storms in your neck of the woods. Secure your homes for the coming winds and rain. Be prepared on the job, and in relationships. Learn what to do when the storms in your life start raging.

Always have your emergency kit with you. Your kit should contain, the word of God to encourage you. The fruits of the spirit to supplicate you. The full armor of God to protect you. And let us not forget the Love of Jesus, to comfort us.

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Father let us not forget that even though we may be in the midst of a storm, You are right there with us. Let us not forget, that it is always darkest before the dawn. Let us always remember that You have said that You would never leave us nor forsake us. Father, strengthen us this morning for the coming day. When we grow weak and tired, allow a small wind, Your breath of life, to gently caress our faces, letting us know that You are right there with us. When we grow weary and almost faint, let the bread of life and the living waters, Your word, revitalize us. Father, even in our storms, we must always remember to stop and give You thanks. Even when life is assailing us, we must stop and praise Your name. Even when it seems like we don't have the strength to go a step further, we must muster the strength to uplift and exalt Your most holy name. Father, be with those who are in the hospital, who are ill, who are grieving, who are faced with the challenges of the world. We ask and pray these things in the name of Your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Thank Him Today

Scripture:
May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. We will shout for joy when you are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the LORD grant all your requests. Psalm 20:4-5

Saints to you sometimes wonder if God really responds to your prayers? Do you walk around saying things like, "I hope I get this or I hope I can do that?" When you really want something, do you take your requests before God? Or do you just leave him out of it?

I want you to really think about this next question. When God does grant you the desires of your heart and/or he answers your prayers do you thank him? Or let's take it a step further, do you give him the credit for your victories? Do you tell others, especially those who need to hear about his wonders, how he blesses you?

You know, so often we ask God, we beg God, we cry out to God, to grant us the desires of our heart. But how often do we give him the credit for our blessings? We get so caught up with the me and I syndrome that we tend to forget about him who blesses us, despite us. We forget to thank him for our blessings. And worst yet, we fail to let others know that it's God blessings that have been manifested in our lives.

Saints of God, if God has blessed you today. Thank him. If God has answered your prayers, thank him and let others know how he has blessed you. If he wiped away your tears, delivered you from your enemies, if he has blessed you in anyway, thank him and then, you better tell somebody!

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Lord, we come before the throne of grace this morning to thank You Lord. You blessed me once again, and I forgot to thank You. You blessed me with my home, my children, and so much more, and I forgot to thank You. You delivered me from the evil one and I didn't thank You. Forgive me Lord, for forgetting to let You know how much I appreciate everything You do for me. You know Lord, last week I asked for something that You gave me. Thank You. I asked You to watch over me and my loved ones and You did. Thank You. Lord, last night when I prayed, I asked that You would place Your hedge of protection around me and my loved ones and You did. Thank You. I asked You for prosperity, and as I sit here on my job, I just want to say thank You. Lord, maybe I don't have that job I wanted just yet, but You still fed me last night. Bless You Lord. I might have had to catch the bus this morning, but that's okay, I thank You for giving me bus fare. Lord, my blessings are too many to list right now, but I want You to know that I am grateful for each and every blessing that I have received. Not because I am worthy of Your favor, but because You love me. I thank You for just loving me. Bless Your name Lord. Praise the name of the Lord. I lift up Holy Hands and bow down my head in reverence to You alone. Thank You Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.

There Will Be Peace In the Valley

Scripture:
I love the LORD , for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy. Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live. Psalm 116:1-2

Saints, From time to time, many of us will take a walk in the valley. Now I know that most of us have heard about being in the valley, but how many of you really know what a valley experience is?

A valley experience means that you are at a low point in your life. A valley experience could be the loss of a job. Loss of a loved one. Financial difficulties. Strive in your relationship. Wayward spouse or child. Or even a life threatening sickness.

A valley experience could mean that you feel unconnected. No one understands you. Your family, your friends, not even God. A valley experience could mean that not even God hears or cares about your circumstances.

A valley experience could even mean that you don't know where you belong in life. You are confused as to what direction you should be going in. You are not happy with your job, or just getting by with your job. Maybe you want to go back to school but just aren't sure or maybe don't know where the money is coming from. A valley experience could be a heaviness of heart, for what seems to you, no reason.

Well my brothers and sisters, understand that each and everyone will have a valley experience. Sometimes because of things that we have done, the choices that we have made, or even just because it's necessary.

Sometimes God will put us in the valley for our own good. Maybe it's to protect us. Maybe it's to help us see just how blessed we are. Maybe it's to help us grow.

There are two things that I have learned about the valley. The first one is this, none of us will stay in the valley. It's just a journey to the other side. The second thing is, I wouldn't be able to truly appreciate the Mountain Top unless I had first gone through that valley.

Be Blessed

Prayer:
I love the Lord. He heard my cry. And even though I walk through the valleys of life, he is with me always. Goodness and mercy are at my side. He covers and protects me in the blood of the lamb. Thank You Lord. Father we come asking that You would give us the strength, the peace and the patience to make it through whatever valley I may go through this day. We come asking that even as I find myself in the valley, I know that I am never alone. Lord, as I look around me and see others in the valley with me, may something that I do or say encourage them to stay their course. Father, I ask that You would touch my brothers and sisters who find themselves in that valley. Lord, let them know that they too are never alone. Thank You Father for allowing us to come before Your throne of grace one more time. Thank You Father, for listening to us, one more time. Thank You Lord, for blessing us, one more time. Praise his name, saints of God. Lord, we lift Your name on high. We sings song of praise even in the valley low. We sings songs of praise, when we reach our mountain top. Thank You Lord, Bless You Lord. Hallelujah, praise God. Amen

Welcome To My Family

Scripture:
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

Saints,
I know that most of you who read these messages have already accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior. Now some of you have been in the body of Christ for a very long time, some are new to the body, and still some; have not quite made up their minds to accept him yet.

So often you hear about being in the body of Christ and have often wondered just what does that mean. Well, there are many different ways to look at the body of Christ. One, is his physical body, the symbolic body, the bead of the Lord's Supper, and the institutional body, the church.

Today, I am talking about the church body. The church is comprised of the Head, the Preacher who is the under-Shepard and the congregation, our Christian brothers and sisters, otherwise known as our church family.

Now, I don't know about you, but I was raised to believe that family is very important. One member is very important to all the rest of the family. I had one brother and three sisters. We couldn't fight one another, but we better not letter anyone else harm another sibling. Our parents didn't care what it took, but we had all better get along.

So often those of us who have been in the body of Christ, or in our church family for a very long time, are judgmental and critical of accepting those who are new to the body. We want to judge people by what we see, what we have heard or even by what we don't know about a person.
The scripture says, if ANYONE is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away.

Now that doesn't mean that everyone will become a saint when they become saved, but what it does mean is that the things of the past, are in the past. I am on my way to becoming more Christ like. My journey may take me longer than others, but at least I am on my way.

Woe be to the saint who causes one of God's lost sheep who is trying to find his way home, to turn away from the church. There was a quote I used a few weeks ago that said, Even God won't judge others until they're dead, why should I?

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Blessed be the name of the Lord. Our Father, who sits high and looks low. The great I AM. My Lord, my Savior, My Redeemer. We who are a part of the body of Christ come before You this morning asking that You would forgive us for our sins of yesterday. Lord, I ask that if I am being critical of others, that You would help me to see the errors of my ways. "Judge not, lest ye be judged." Help me Father to hide those words in my heart. Lord, I thank You for saving me from the depths of hell. Thank You for loving me so much that You stretched out Your hand to me and welcomed me into the kingdom. Lord, Someone is standing at deaths door this morning. I ask heavenly Father, that You would welcome them into Your kingdom with open arms. Lord, comfort the families of those who will have to release a loved one into Your care. Father, the rain is falling outside this morning, it is dark and cold. But we know that eventually, the sun will shine. We are thanking You right now for our sunshine. Continue to touch, bless, anoint, heal, and comfort every saint that is represented here today. Touch those unsaved members of our families as we continue to tell them just how wonderful You are. Thank You Father for blessing me. Thank You Father for keeping me. Thank You Father for saving me. I Love the Lord. He Heard my Cry. His mercy endureth forever. We submit our prayers in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Jesus Loves Me

Scripture:
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

Saints of God, how many of you realize that Jesus loves you? Now to be honest, there may be some things about us he doesn't like, but guess what? He still Loves Us! The word of God tells us time and time again how much he loves us. We are his beloved.

He loves us enough to forgive us. Then Jesus said to her, "Your sins are forgiven." Luke 7:48. He loves us enough to protect us. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. John 17:15.
He loves us enough to intercede on our behalf. In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. Romans 8:26
He dries our tears. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. Revelation 7:17
He wraps his loving arms around us when we need comfort. Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. John 16:7

Now that’s LOVE!

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Father, thank you for loving me so much. When I think about all that you have done for me, I know it was nothing but your love. Father, forgive us for being unruly children from time to time. Forgive us for not always showing your love to others. Father, we realize that there is nothing that we can do or say to become worthy of your love, but we ask this day that you would use us, in any way that you see fit, to show others your love working in our lives. We continue in fervent prayer that you would answer to the needs of those saints whose names are on our prayer list. Continue to manifests your grace and mercy in their lives as well as ours. We Love you Lord, because you first loved us. Thank you. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

No Weapon

Scripture:
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me," Says the LORD. Isaiah 54:17

Saints, I have been talking about being under attack for a large portion of this year. This reason for this is because I myself along with so many of my brothers and sisters is Christ, seem to be overwhelmed with trials and tribulations, one right after another.

There have been times that I have wondered why myself along with so many others seem to always be going through something. Does this sound like any of you? My sisters and brothers are unemployed and it seems like it's taking so much longer to find new ones.

Cancer is rampant among those we know. We are losing babies to catastrophic illnesses and even those we believed to be Christians, are committing suicide. In my wildest dreams, I never imagined that being a Christian would be so hard.

But there is a truth about being a Christian I want to share with you. You see, before you got saved and joined the family of God, life didn't seem so hard. That's because satan wasn't worried about you because he already had you. He wanted you to remain comfortable in being and living in sin. Once you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, it made him mad.

You see, as long as you were in the world, he didn't have to worry about you. When he lost you and you became a new creature in Christ Jesus, he has to get you back, so that's one of the reasons that the attacks against us increase. He lies to us, he tries to discourage us in our Christian walk. He wants us to doubt the promises of God. And you know what? Sometimes, every now and then, it seems like he may be winning.

But you know what Saints of God? God has said in his word; NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST US SHALL PROSPER! That it his promise to us. We must learn to lean on our faith, walk by faith, grow in faith, see it and believe it IN FAITH. God cannot lie. He has already told us; he would never leave us nor forsake us; If we remain faithful to him!!

I for one am standing on God's word. I am holding on to his promise! I will not let go of his unchanging hand! What about you?

Be Blessed

Prayer:
The LORD IS my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; HE LEADS me beside the still waters. HE RESTORES my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You ARE WITH ME; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You PREPARE a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You ANOINT my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I WILL DWELL in the house of the LORD, Forever and ever, Amen.

Wait On the Lord

Scripture:
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

Saints, today I just want to remind you to hold on to your faith. I know that many of you have been praying for a breakthrough and it still has not manifested. Don't stop praying.
I know that it seems like no matter how hard you try to bring peace into your marriage, your home, on your job into your relationships, strife, anger, resentment, and distrust still exist. Don't give up.

Some of you have been sick or have loved ones who have been sick for a very long time. Some have been struggling financially for a long time and some of you have been fighting against addictions, abuse, and a multitude of other things. Don't give in.

God never said this life would be easy. At least, not in this world. He sometimes uses our situations to strengthen our faith and teach us to learn to depend on him more. Not only for our well being, but so that others who are not saved can see him working in our lives.

So saints of God know this, weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning!

Be Blessed

Prayer:
Father, sometimes it seems like You don't hear our prayers. But we know Lord, that You hear our cries. Father, forgive us for our impatience. Father, we know that even when we aren't faithful to You, You are still faithful to us. Thank You Lord, that You see beyond our weaknesses and bless us anyhow. Lord, teach us patience. Help us to remain prayerful, even when we can't see You working in our lives. Father, we know our breakthroughs are at hand, because You have already given us the victory through Your son, Jesus Christ, in who’s name we pray. Amen.
